I had an easier time when starting out as I am a blogger, so I knew all about SEO and CTR headlines and whatnot, so I started out attracting thousands of reads... but they were from Google, the readers Im used to attract.

It was only when I started sharing my experiences as a Full Time blogger that I started earning real money, because Partners were interested in learning from my experience, and now that I know how to get there on Medium as well, I started writing about it and I rose through the ranks again.

I think it's simply a matter of targetting the right demographic, and if you're in this for the money you need to target the Medium Partner Program members, who want to learn all about increasing their earnings or bettering their skills.
