Hello there,

To be honest, I have no clue, I don’t write for curation at all, and I don’t find the numbers you get from getting curated that meaningful.

Writing for curation is a bit like Freelance Writing in the sense that you’re usually sacrificing your long term performance for a small bump. If these techniques interfere with curation then this becomes even more so true due to the power these techniques have.

I am in Medium, like in my own blogs, for the long term and that autopilot passive income I love.

For that reason, I’ve been building my own following and publications, as well as writing evergreen content, not relying on curation either since those first days wouldn’t make much of a difference.
If you really do want to be curated, I guess it makes sense, and of course, you could get better results if you get curated constantly, but that requires your work, and thus makes writing less attractive since you’ll stop earning when you stop working.

For me, writing is all about building a portfolio that will work for you.
